摘要
通过相关史料和统计数据的梳理,揭示了录音在当今社会音乐生产、传播和接受链条中的核心地位。录音技术的出现不仅改变了音乐产业的结构、音乐的传播方式和我们接受音乐的方式,录音制品的生产和销售也成为了当代音乐产业的主要生产内容与核心动力。当今流行音乐的传播与接受高度地依赖于其物质载体的工业化大规模生产,这使得产业不仅成为了音乐生产行为的发起者、组织者和参与者,也使音乐产业得以通过项目投资的方式来决定什么样的音乐作品可以投入传播,以及听众能够听到什么样的音乐。藉此横亘在音乐家与受众之间的唱片工业便实现了对两端的控制,并使流行音乐凸显出艺术与商业的二重属性。
Based on the research of historical documents and statistics of music industry, this paper shows that the recorded music is the core of the production-communication-acceptance system of contemporary music. Recording technology has changed the inner structure of music industry and the form of music communication and acceptance. At the same time, mass production and distribution of recorded music has become the main function and force of the music industry. The communication and acceptance of contemporary popular music heavily relies on the mass pro- duction of its pre-recording media, this made the industry not only the sponsor and organizer of the music production but also the participator. By this way, music industry decides what kind of music should be put into the communication and what kind of sound should be heard by the audience. As a powerful filter between musicians and audience, the music industry controls both of them and makes the popular music culture revealed highly twoness of art and commerce.
