Emulation of Three-dimensional Terrain Based on Fractal Theory

摘要 基于分形理论,在Diamond-Square算法的基础上提出一种改进算法,完成了三维地形的虚拟仿真.算法在Diamond-Square算法的基础上引入了一个补偿项,有效地弥补了直接采用Diamond-Square算法生成三维地形时产生的缺陷.实验结果表明,采用改进的Diamond-Square算法生成三维模拟地形的方法切实可行,在三维模拟地形的仿真中得到了较好的仿真结果. Based on fractal theory,a modified algorithm was proposed to complete the virtual simulation of three-dimensional terrain based on Diamond-Square algorithm.Based on Diamond-Square algorithm,a compensation term was introduced into the modified algorithm to improve the defect which is generated when directly use Diamond-Square algorithm to generate three-dimensional terrain.The experimental results show that the method of using the improved Diamond-Square algorithm to generate three-dimensional terrain is feasible and can get good results for three-dimensional terrain simulation.
