Study on the accuracy in using electronic apex locator in root canal treatment

摘要 目的:研究电子根尖定位仪用于测量根管工作长度的准确性。方法:301例患者共328颗牙依据就诊日单双号分为两组,A组为放射片测量根管的工作长度,B组为电子根尖定位仪测量。评价分为充填不足、恰填及超充填,分别以主牙胶尖试尖和根管封闭后的放射片判定。结果:主牙胶尖试尖及根管封闭后测试,评价为恰填、根管充填不足的患者2组间均无显著性差异(均P>0.05)。主牙胶尖试尖评价为根管超填的患者2组间存在显著性差异(A组13.7%,B组3.4%,P<0.01),在根管封闭后测试时2组间无显著性差异(A组13.1%,B组8%)。结论:根管治疗中采用根尖定位仪测量根管工作长度的准确性较高,可减少患者接受的放射辐射,但它不能取代放射片。 Objective:To study the accuracy in using electronic apex locator in root canal treatment.Methods:A total of 301 patients with 328 teeth were randomized into two groups.In group A,the working length was determined by radiograph,whereas in group B,it was determined by the JUST-Ⅱ electronic apex locator(Yoshida,Japan).Length adequacy for each group with master cone and final obturation radiography was categorized into short,acceptable and over cases.Results:There was no significant difference between the rates of acceptable in master cone radiography and final radiography.There was significant difference for over cases in which master cone radiography were significantly more in group A(13.7%)than group B(3.4%).However,this category did not show a significant difference for final obturation between group A(13.1%)and group B(8%).Conclusion:Using electronic apex locator for the determination of root canal working length in endodontic treatment is worked well clinically.Furthermore,in addition to reduce the radiographic exposure,electronic apex locators are superior in reducing overestimation of the root canal length,but it can not replace the radiographic method.
