中国大学的出路:精神回归还是制度建构——兼论大学精神“回归”说

Chinese University Way:Spirit Regression or System Construction——On University Spirit "Regression"

近年来,我国教育界流行一种观点,认为现在我国大学在不断地突破自己的底线,大学精神衰微、迷失、变味甚至"变态"、"虚脱"了。据此认为,实现大学自治、学术自由和教授治校,让大学精神"回归"是眼下的当务之急。这种观点是值得商榷的。国内外大学的发展历程以及大学精神的形成规律充分证明,随着时代的发展,大学越来越融入社会而并非独立于社会,再者我国后发外生型的发展特点也决定了中国大学无法走精神"回归"之路。只有重新定位大学与政府、大学与社会的关系,构建独具"中国特色"的现代大学制度,才是拯救我国大学精神的务实之举。

In recent years,our education has a popular view that China＇s universities have a breakthrough of their bottom line and the university spirit is languishing.According to this view,attaining university autonomy and academic freedom and professor managing and letting the university spirit ＂return＂is now the urgent matter.This view is worth discussing.In the course of development,domestic and international universities and colleges spirit proves that with the development of society,universities have become more and more on the society,not independent on the society.And furthermore,the development of late-development exogenous type characteristic also decided the Chinese universities can＇t repeat the spirit＂return＂way.Therefore,only reposition relations of universities and government,universities and social relations and constructing unique ＂China characteristics＂ of modern university system in our country can save China＇s university spirit.
