The novel of Wrong Path that bears the appearance of ＂confessions＂ is not actually ＂confession＂ in the western fashion, or ＂reflection＂ in the sense of traditional Chinese or the profound critical ＂introspection＂ in the sense of modem Chinese. Instead, it is an alienated reflection of modem Chinese style which is irresponsible, care-free and conspicuous.
