This article reviewed the origin and development vein of Chinese tradition central courtyard,inquired into the cultural connotation of Chinese four suitable housing pattern,then excavates some architecture creation elements and ideas on human settlements of China today,and draw a conclusion that for China today human settlements should be inherit essence of the history,let all the people enjoy the harmonious happy natural and humanities environment.
