例谈志书述而不论与揭示规律的关系处理

On Treatment of the Relationship Between Narration Without Comments and Revealing Regular Patterns in Local Records Using Examples

述而不论是志书编纂的重要原则,但与揭示客观规律并非完全对立,而是矛盾的统一体,因为述而不论不等于没有观点,述而不论同样可以揭示规律。在编纂实践中,也可以通过特色内容升格设置、充分利用三级概述特点、精选材料合理取舍、写作技巧加强记述深度等途径,达到既遵循述而不论的原则,又能发掘志书资料的潜在价值,较好地寓观点于记述之中。但在追求揭示规律的时候,要尽力避免编纂者个体的主观色彩和编纂者随机、无度的评议。

Narration without comments is an important principle in local records compilation, but it does not completely contradict with revealing objective regular patterns. They are, indeed, an entirety of two aspects of a contradiction, because narration without comments does not equal to having no opinions, and narration without comments can equally reveal regular patterns. In compilation practice, one can use methods such as upgraded setting of featured contents, fully utilizing the feature of summary in three levels, careful and reasonable selection of materials, and strengthening depth of accounting by use of writing techniques, so that the principle of narration without comments can be observed, while at the same time the potential value of local records reference materials can be excavated, and opinions can be better integrated into narrations. However, when pursuing revealing regular patterns, one should try one’s best to avoid subjective colors on the part of the individual compiler, and random, unrestricted comments from the compiler.
