The Eighteenth Amendment,in American Constitution,is the only one up to now purposely restricting the human rights and freedom.The thesis starts from the consideration of contemporary social conditions,and then discusses mainly on the co-influences of four major social forces,and finally,shows that the unavoidability and the particularity in passing the 18th amendment.
