Methods and Values of Cultivating Medical Humanities in Basic Medical Education

医学因其具有人文属性的特点而不同于其他自然科学。医学教育应该加强对医学生的医学人文与伦理道德素养的培养。从低年级开始,在基础医学教学阶段培养学生对逝者的尊敬之情、对生命的敬畏之心、对患者的同情之感、对职业的奉献精神,必将大大提高医学生综合素质,有利于其成为高级医学人才。

Medicine differs from other natural science due to its human attributes. Medical education should aim at the cultivation of medical humanities, medical morality and ethics in basic medical education stage from： developing feelings of respect to the mortal remains for our anatomy and awe of life, arousing a sense of compassion for patients as well as shaping medical professionalism. All of the efforts will improve the overall quality of medical students and make them advanced medical personnel in the future.
