On Three Different Levels of the Meaning of "Beauty of Neutralization and Harmony" from Dichotomy to Trichotomy

通过对"中和为美"这一儒家美学命题的哲学基础进行全面深入地考察,我们发现它包含三个不同层次的内涵:一、"乐而不淫,哀而不伤"等高度意识形态化的儒家诗教观;二、含有丰富艺术辩证思想并体现了艺术创造一般规律的古典艺术学原则;三、与礼乐传统和心性哲学深刻关联的中华审美文化之魂。

Through a comprehensive study on the Confucian concept of poetry ＂ Beauty of Neutralization and Harmony＂,this paper argues that it contains three different levels of meaning：1,＂enjoyment without intemperance,sorrow not to the upmost,＂ the height of the Confucian ideology Poetic view;2,rich dialectical thought of art which reflects the general rules of artistic creation in the principles of classical art;3,the profound Chinese aesthetic cultural soul associated with ＂the music tradition＂ and ＂philosophy of mind＂.
