贫困学生工作是高校学生思想政治教育的重要组成部分，也是社会共同关注的问题。由于贫困学生个体类型的多样性，导致贫困原因的复杂性与自身问题的差异性，使得高校贫困学生的教育工作面临巨大的压力和挑战．本文分析了贫困学生存在的主要问题及高校贫困学生工作的明显不足，以如何增强贫困学生就业竞争力为出发点，探析了新形势下高校贫困学生工作的新内容。

Work of poor students is considered an important part of ideological and political education in colleges as well as an issue of common concern. Because of different characteristics of poor students, reasons of being poor and problems of every student are various, thereby psychological and spiritual problems become increasingly salient. Normal economic aid can not work fully with changes in students needs, education of poor college students is facing great pressure and challenges. This article analyzes major problems in poor students and obvious defects in poor college student management. It explores new ways of poor college students management under new situations beginning with raising individual competitiveness.
