韩愈在中唐至晚唐五代之间同调甚少,其为人所公认的地位与成就,主要是经历北宋时期逐渐形成的。当时效法韩愈古文运动,推动诗文革新,均以韩愈为标榜,对于韩愈的接受有着明显的转进,是接受韩愈最重要的时代,而其中尤以欧阳修对韩愈的接受关系为重大。经过以欧阳修为代表的士人群体推波助澜,韩愈的负面形象得以扭转并趋于理性客观看待,而其诗文的开拓示范意义亦逐渐被发掘出来,成为文章轨范,对北宋以后的韩愈研究及接受产生了重大而深远的影响。

Very few persons shared the same view with Han Yu from the mid to the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties.The wide acknowledgment of Han＇s accomplishment as well as his status was gradually generated during the North Song Dynasty,which was the most important time for the acceptance of Han Yu.During the time,the development of poem and literature experienced a revolutionary change,in which Han Yu became a model to literati for literature creating.The rise of Han Yu＇s image owns significantly to Ouyang Xiu and his fellows who contributed remarkably to reversing Han Yu＇s previously negative image,thus an objective and rational perspective towards Han Yu was formed.The value of Han Yu＇s literature and poems were also unveiled at the same time,and the literature works became a model for the articles later,exerting critical and far-reaching influence on the research and acceptance of Han Yu ever afterwards.
