元代是我国多民族统一国家形成的重要时期,也是西域多元文化并存的重要阶段。元代西域民族众多,宗教林立,语言文字种类繁多,呈现出缤纷多彩的社会语言状况。元代多语状况的形成有其生态地理、政治经济、宗教文化等因素。

The Yuan Dynasty was a leading period for the formation of our multiple-national unified country and also a significant stage of Turkism and groups and religious faiths, languages and social -language situations. The multiple languages during the epoch are attributable to eological-geography, political economy,religious culture and other factors.
