The paper briefly described the design and implementation of WebGIS based on MapXtreme,proposed a way to dissolve the question about slow response of the map server-Tail Map technology,introduced two main technologies of Tail Map technology.They were pre-production technology of Tile-Map warehouse and Ajax rich client technology.
