Measuring the house area is a very important content of real estate mea- surement work. The article explains in detail the necessary condition of housing build- ing area calculation stipulated by "pecifications for Estate Surveying" and "Shanghai House Building Area Calculation and Shared Building Area Apportionment Rules", makes the corresponding extended definition for the scope of calculating all, one half and not included housing building area, studies the related technical points and shared building area apportionment method in housing building area calculation, and makes the supplementary provisions for some details.
