On the Economic Recession Factors of Italy in the 17th Century

意大利地区是世界近代史上最早出现资本主义萌芽的地区之一,但是其到十七世纪进入经济结构调整期却因纺织业的衰落、农业复兴的艰难、城乡经济的对立以及人口增长缓慢等因素使得近代化进程落后于同时期的西欧诸国,贸易的中心地位逐渐让位于荷英等国。

Italy was one of the areas that capitalist first sprouted in modem history. In the 17th century Italy in economic restructuring period experienced the recession of textile industry, the ditSculty of the agriculture renaissance, the antagonism of urban and nn-al economies and the slow growth of pop^ation. As a result, Italy fell behind the Western European countries in the process of modernization. At last, Italy gave the way to Netherlands and Britain in the world trade center.
