This article introduces the meaning and the springing-up of the study on library reading,and its features as well.The articles relating to the research of library reading have increased in recent years.The cultural construction brings opportunities for the development of the library reading theory.The subjects concentrate on the reading guidance,reading education,reading promotion,leisure reading and reading development.The reading research has a close relationship with Philology,psychology and Medical Science,which brings about some interdisciplinary researches.Lack of profundity is the problem existing in the reading researches.And the empirical studies have limited guiding effect because there are few of good works.
