汉英口译中汉语主述题与英语主谓结构的转换

The Transition from Theme-rheme Structure to Subject-predicate Structure in Chinese-English Interpreting

英汉两种语言属于完全不同的语言体系。英语突显主语,而汉语则注重主题。汉语的句﹑段﹑篇章多是主题推进模式,汉译英口译中往往具体体现在如何把汉语中的主题模式转换成英语中的主谓结构模式。讨论利用语言学家F.Danes提出的四种主述推进模式来实现汉英口译"信、达、捷"。

Belonging to two different language families, English sentences are always headed by subjects while Chinese sentences are usually organized by topics. Chinese sentences, paragraphs and passages are topic -prominent. This paper discusses how to change topic mold to subject mold so as to achieve faithfulness, expressiveness and quickness in interpreting with the theoretical framework by F. Danes＇thematic progression.
