随着社会文化的发展,"墙"这一自然建筑被赋予了一层文化内涵,中国现代文学作家在不同作品中赋予了"墙"不同的象征意义。自五四新文化运动落潮之后,人们思想陷入苦闷阶段,这些作家通过不同的方式,以"墙"这一意象为思考的立足点,对生命价值、生命意义进行追问,找寻存在的出路。

Various works of Chinese contemporary writers have entrusted different symbolic meaning to ＂wall＂. Since May fourth Movement ebbed, people have got depressed. Based on ＂wall＂ image, these writers make detailed inquiries about life value and life meaning as well as seek for the existent ways in different means.
