Increase production in steel plates and pipes depending on scientific technique

本文从我国各类板、管轧机的现状,分析了造成板、管钢材在成品钢材中比重小的根本原因是:钢管、板轧机投资少,设备陈旧,技术落后。并提出了利用先进技术改造旧设备和研制发展中型板、管轧机的可行途径。

With the analysis on the present status of the various plates and pipes mills in our country, the author points out the causes that the small proportion of plates and pipes in all steel products is due to rare investment, old equipment and backward technique in existing plate and pipe mills. A possible way which can be done with the advanced technique to reform the old equipment and developing new type of medium plate and pipe mills, is put forward in the paper.
