CHINA’S INSURANCE INDUSTRY: THE NEXT FIVE YEARS

2011年不仅是中国加入世贸的第十个年头，更是“十二五”的开局之年。2011年8月18日，《中国保险业发展“十二五”规划纲要》（下称“《规划纲要》”）正式出炉。

China Insurance Regulatory Commission published the "12th Five-Year Plan for Insurance Industry" in August. Compared with the "11th Five-Year Plan for Insurance Industry", the "12th Five-Year Plan for Insurance Industry" sets higher and more specific goals.It should be noted that there are still some challenges for the insurance industry at the present stage. For instance, the existing extensive growth pattern needs to change. Increasing economic uncertainty is another challenge ahead.
