摘要 This paper examines the discourse structure of newspaper editorials in Chinese English in terms of their macrostrcture and their lexco-grammatical features. Data were extracted from the online edition of the People's Daily online. The study reveals that the discourse features of editorials manifest the interactive nature of the texts. Implications of the findings for second language teaching are also discussed.
