Integration of tablet inscription and model calligraphy has become a trend and need in contemporary calligraphic creation. However, there are still some misunderstandings in practice and lack in theories. The integration is not simple grafting or adding in a general sense; it needs relatively correct ob- jects and scale of selection. Calligraphers in the modern times have explored the subject in various ways and therefore accumulated a lot of experience. The paper reviews the experience and analyzes its gains and losses, which is of instructive significance to the successful integration of tablet inscription and model calligraphy.
