A Contrastive Analysis of Two English Versions of Yi Jian Xiao Shi from the Perspective of Interpersonal Mood

本文拟从系统功能语言学的人际功能入手,从语气角度对比分析比较了鲁迅小说《一件小事》及其2个英译文本。希望本文的分析会给翻译实践带来启示,且进一步检验系统功能语言学在翻译研究中的可应用性。

Based on the interpersonal function of systemic functional linguistics,this paper contrastively analyses the differences of two English translations of Yi Jian Xiao Shi from the perspective of mood.It is hoped that the present study will provide a keen insight into the translation practice and that the applicability of functional linguistics to translation study can be tested.
