物联网的英文名称叫"The Internet of things"。顾名思义,物联网就是物物相连的互联网,物联网是新一代信息技术的重要组成部分。新疆的经济相对薄弱,制造业相对滞后,物联网产业发展相对较慢。随着经济和政治战略地位的不断提高,以及西部大开发战略的实施,国家对新疆的支持力度越来越大,这种背景下,新疆高职院校要加强物联网专业的建设,加快对物联网人才的培养。

The English equivalent of the Chinese name ＂物联网＂ is ＂The Internet of Things＂.As the name implies,The Internet of Things refers to the Internet that connects all of the things,which is an important part of information technology.With the rapid economic progress in Xinjiang,the technology of The Internet of Things is being widely used by more and more Xinjiang people.In such circumstances,the specialty construction of ＂the Internet of Things＂ in Xinjiang higher vocational schools has become an urgent task.
