Literature Review on the Causes of Land Fragmentation and Its Effects

研究目的:综述国内外有关土地细碎化起因及其影响的已有研究成果,为后续研究奠定基础和方向。研究方法:文献研究法和比较研究法。研究结果:在不同国家或地区以及不同时代,土地细碎化产生的原因不尽相同;土地细碎化的影响既有正面的,也有负面的,但整体上看,土地细碎化的负面影响更为突出。研究结论:认清土地细碎化的起因及其带来的影响,对于解决土地细碎化问题、提高国家或地区的农业生产效率起着重要的作用。

The purpose of this paper is to conduct a literature review on the causes of land fragmentation and its effects in order to establish a basis and point the direction for future research. Methods of documentation and comparative analysis were used. The results indicate that the causes of land fragmentation are different in terms of countries or regions and periods; the impacts of land fragmentation could be positive and negative, but generally the negative impact of land fragmentation was more prominent. It is concluded that that clearly understanding the causes of land fragmentation and its effects play important roles in solving the problem of land fragmentation and further improving the agricultural productivity in a country or region.
