Although reports of a wave of small- and medium-sized enterprise （SMEs） shut- downs, called the ＂Closure Tide,＂ were found to be exaggerated in late July, it＇s still clear that life is not easy for Chinese small businesses. In this issue, we focus on the problems facing SMEs and talk about how they can change their fortunes to return to the black in the future.
