美国高校预科英语教育的启示

摘要 高等教育已步入全球化时代,越来越多来自世界各国的学生纷纷涌向美国、加拿大、英国等英语国家留学。由于大多数学生母语为非英语,在开始大学学习前,需要接受预科语言强化训练。本文通过对美国大学预科语言课程教学的观摩,分析了美国大学预科语言课程授课特点,并在此基础上提出了预科语言教学对于国内英语教学的可借鉴之处。 Higher education has now entered into the globalization age,thus more and more students from different parts of the world are now attending universities in English-speaking countries like U.S.A,Canada,U.K,etc.Since most students are non-native speakers,they need to take ESL courses to intensify their English before starting their study.Based on the teaching observation of ESL courses in America,this paper analyzes the features of ESL teaching in America and provides a few feasible ways for Chinese EFL teachers to learn from.
