Conversation in Writing,a semi-monthly literary magazine, was founded by the famous writer Mao Dun in Hong Kong in September 1941.It was lauded as one of the magazines that 'had played a non-underestimatable role in raising morale and arousing the whole Chinese nation's insistence on the anti-Japanese war';it was also a representative magazine brought about by the migration of intellectuals in Hong Kong due to the anti-Japanese war.Totaling seven issues from its inception to closing,Conversation in Writing reflects its transformation from discourse media to literary field, profoundly embodying the mode and meaning of how the then literary magazine turned into a literary field. That is also the research value of the historical data derived from the complete set of Conversation in Writing.
