Zhang Ligang was born in Jiangyin in 1971.In 1988,he studied at the Department of Biology,Fudan University.In 1991,he went to USA and studied at Concordia College,Minnesota.After a year's study,he got a bachelor's degree and went to Medicine School of Columbia University to do research.In 1995,Zhang Ligang entered Harvard Medical School to study genetics Ph.D.and received a master's degree in 2001.In 1998,he gave up the pursuit of the doctorate at Harvard Medical School and came back China to become one of Sohu's business veteran.In 1999,he left Sohu and founded the e-long with three partners and served as CEO.However,when the e-long listed in the NASDAQ market successfully,he chose to leave again.In 2003,he acquired Shanghai Medical Life Science Research Center Co.,Ltd..He created the ikang network health technology company and served as chairman and CEO in 2004.In 2007,the ikang network combined Shanghai Guobin to form the Shanghai Ikang Guobin Health Management Group.This group provide a full range of medical examination,medical arrangements and private medical health management services.Zhang Ligang believed that ikang will have an vital impact on the healthy concept of Chinese.
