The reasons of chlorate formation in the process of brine electrolysis are analyzed in detail.The advantages and disadvantages of chlorate decomposition tank designed by Caustic Chlorine Engineering Equipment Technology（Shanghai） Co.,Ltd.,and those by Bluestar（Beijing） Machinery Chemical Industry Co.,Ltd.are introduced as well as the problems existing in linking up with the original process.The improvement measures are proposed.
