Absence of Modernity and Presence of Ambivalence——Restudy of Scar Novels

伤痕小说内含现代性与矛盾性双重特征,在文本表述上主要体现为:隐匿现代性,凸显矛盾性。这与始自"五四"新文学阐扬现代性的写作风格有所不同,作家这种反其意而行之的叙述策略重在更好地表现文学反作用于社会和文化的功能,并强化它们。遗憾的是,伤痕小说纠结于思想话语与历史—政治话语之间产生的冲突与矛盾,并未从根本上完成新时期文学的现代性转换。

Scar novels embody both modernity and ambivalence,while in text narrating,the former is absent,featuring the latter,which goes against Chinese modern literature,which has been advocating modernity ever since the May Fourth Movement.Authors deliberately adopt this technique to exert to the fullest influence of literature on society and culture.However,it is regrettable that scar novels are so obsessed with conflicts between powers of thoughts and history-politics that they fail to transform completely themselves to modernity in the new era of literature.
