Chinese traditional festivals, as an essential part of traditional culture, are the distillation of ethic values. This paper starts with the conception and characteristics of traditional festivals, and then elaborates on the principles and feasible measures of realizing the ethic value. By doing justice to the ethic value of traditional festivals, we can benefit from it in formulating the ethic system with Chinese characteristics and building a harmonious socialist society and even a harmonious world.
