论高校图书馆工具书的馆藏建设

On the Construction of Reference Books in University Libraries

分析了工具书的概念、类型以及高校图书馆工具书室的定位,指出高校图书馆对工具书的收藏要注重连续性与完整性、综合性与专业性,并根据各类型工具书的性质合理分配馆藏地,使资源得到最大化利用。

In this paper, the author analyzed the definition and category of reference books and the position of the section where these books are available for readers in the university libraries. The analysis shows that the university libraries should make sure that the reference books should be acquired under the principle of continuity and com pleteness, with equal emphasis on the scope and specificity of their collections. In addition, the reference books should also be catalogued and distributed appropriately for a maximization of the utility of the resources.
