《鲁滨逊漂流记》是一部经典小说,深受读者的欢迎。从表面上看这是一部历险小说,故事情节简单明了。然而,如果借用后殖民批评理论去解读,《鲁滨逊漂流记》就折射出了殖民主义的思想。这部小说的主角是一位典型的资产阶级殖民主义者,他定居在荒岛上,并且殖民着这片荒岛。他不但控制着整个荒岛、而且征服了他的同伴。这部小说呼唤殖民内容的研究,事实上从这部小说的每一个方面都能看出殖民主义倾向。

Robinson Crusoe is a classic and popular novel. On the surface,Robinson Crusoe is an adventure story,pure and simple. But from the theory of post-colonial criticism,it reveals an obvious colonialism tendency hidden underneath the storyline. Robinson Crusoe is the very prototype of the empire builder,the pioneer colonist, who settles on the island and colonizes it. He conquers not only the island,but also his native companion. Robinson Crusoe calls for study of its colonial contexts. Indeed,from different aspects of the novel we can see very clearly colonialism characteristic.
