德里克·沃尔是当代颇具有影响力的生态社会主义者、英国左派人物。他主张用激进运动的形式反对资本主义,以彻底消灭资本主义,彻底消除资本主义对环境的破坏、对社会公平和人权的侵蚀。他清楚地意识到了资本主义体系与环境保护的矛盾,认为当前反资本主义激进运动的主要形式是利用互联网传播运动信息,并引发世界范围内的反资本主义运动。虽然反资本主义激进运动对生态社会主义的实现至关重要,但是过渡性政策也一样必不可少,为此他提出了一系列过渡性的政策。

Derek wall is one of influential contemporary left-wing eeosoeialists. He advocates radical movements to oppose capi- talism in order to wipe out it. He is well aware of the contradiction between capitalism and environment protection, arguing that human beings should take radical actions to eliminate capitalist totally. He believes that human beings should make the most of the Intemet to spread the message of radical actions to initiate world-wide anti-capitalism movements. Though anti-capitalism movements are very important to eeosocialism, it is necessary to formulate transitional policies. Therefore he proposes some transitional policies.
