从莫高窟第85窟供养人看其营建和重修

Construction and Renovation of Cave 85 at Mogao Grottoes:Judging by the portraits of donors

为庆贺翟法荣擢升都僧统,以翟法荣及其弟翟承庆为代表的翟氏家族于咸通三年至咸通八年在莫高窟兴建第85窟。曹议金担任节度使的五代时期,嫁到翟家的曹议金长女又组织重修了第85窟。第85窟甬道北壁的重层壁面以及东壁门北侧供养人的重绘痕迹都说明,曹议金长女不仅主持重修了第85窟的甬道,而且也重绘了第85窟东壁门北侧的供养人画像。

To celebrating ZHAI Farong＇s promotion to the position of chief official of Buddhist administration, ZHAI Family, leading by ZHAI Farong and his brother ZHAI Chengqing, ZHAI Family constructed cave 85 at the Mogao Grottoes in the Xiantong third to the eighth years （862-867A.D.）. During the Five Dynasties when CAO Yijin held the Post of the Commander of the Return to Allegiance Army, his oldest daughter, who was married to ZHAI Family, had Cave 85 repaired. Both the second layer of wall-paintings on north wall of the corridor and the donor repainted, and the fact demonstrated that the oldest daughter corridor but also repainted the portrait of donors on north side figures on north side of east wall had been of CAO of east Yijin had not only reconstructed the wall in Cave 85 at Mogao Grottoes
