＂Shadow in the Dream of Read Mansion＂,written by a woman writer,is a rare case of multiple versions of ＂Dream of Red Mansion＂.However,due to the writer＇s limited vision,JIA Baoyu,though with uniqueness,in this version is not as deed as the one in the original work.The uniqueness includes that firstly,JIA Baoyu,as a member of a noble family,is not highlighted in the family-angled narration;secondly,as an individual alive,he tells us the loneliness of an oppressed individual in the family.The less importance JIAO Baoyu in his family reflected the writer＇s anxiety of the traditional moral and ethic system,while Baoyu＇s loneliness and depression reflected the writer＇s observation on the negative side of the individuals in the feudal family.
