On Function-Composites City Square Planning and Design——A Case Study of the Planning and Design of Leisure Plaza of Mazhenba New District in Wuxi City

结合巫溪马镇坝新区休闲广场景观规划设计,分析解读现代城市广场规划设计的发展趋势,认为功能复合型的城市广场规划设计,能起到满足人们多样活动需求、传承城市文化、提高空间利用率、提升空间活力的作用.

The forms of city squares has been changing all the times since the Ancient Greek Market Plaza appeared.Nowadays,with the growth of population,the acceleration of urbanization,the high tension of urban land and the diversification of city life the pursuit of diversified functions represents a new trend,in the construction of city squares.In this paper,based on the planning and design of the leisure square of Mazhenba new district in Wuxi city,we make an analysis of the trends of modern city square planning and design.We believe that function-composites square planning plays a role in meeting our needs for diverse activities,passing down urban culture,improving space utilization and enhancing public space activity.
