浅谈英语熟语与外语教学

近年来,各国语言学家和教育者们逐渐开始关注文化在外语教学中所起到的重要作用,熟语是民族语言的精华,有着浓郁的文化特色,对外语教学有着较大的帮助。英语熟语是英民族语言中经过人们长期使用,久而久之形成的固定的词组、短语或者短句,很多熟语简短上口,非常容易记忆,因此深受广大英语使用者的喜欢,并且在英语教学中成为了帮助学生们了解英美国家文化必不可少的助手,在外语教学中起到了重要的作用。基于此,从熟语的起源及功能出发,通过对一些简单的英语熟语的列举,讨论它们在外语教学中的实际作用,以期达到更好的外语教学效果。

Recently,linguists and educators from many countries have begun to pay attention to the important function of culture in foreign language teaching.Idioms are the essence in language and have strong cultural characteristics,and they can help foreign language teaching a lot.English idioms are the fixed phrases or short sentences formed in people＇s using.Most of them are short and easy to be memorized and can help the students to get in touch with the English culture in the foreign language learning.Proceeding from the origin and functions of English idioms,this paper discusses the practical function in foreign language teaching with the help of some short idioms in order to achieve better English teaching effect.
