摘要
本文旨在通过实验来探讨读者在理解翻译中英文隐喻语句时的心理空间建构,具体要探讨的是:源语使用者和目标语使用者是否以相同或类似的概念整合网络来构建两个极端相同的空间。通过对88名汉语和35名英语实验者的问卷调查,我们得出结论认为,理解源文本到目标文本隐喻的本质是从源文本合成到目标文本合成的映现。
An experiment has been designed with the aim to explore the mental spaces readers are constructing when comprehending and translating metaphorical sentences of Chinese and English. The question of this study is : Will the source language users and the target language users construct two identical spaces with the same or similar conceptual integration networks? Based on questionnaires administered to 88 Chinese and 35 English participants, it is concluded that the nature of understanding metaphor from source text (ST) to target text (TT) is the mapping from ST blending to 'TT' blending.
