随着英语教育事业的蓬勃发展,设置英语教育专业已经成为国际社会发展及英语教育改革的迫切需要。英语教育专业建设的出发点即是要着力提升英语教师队伍建设的层次与质量,并最终通过"英语+教育"的复合型人才培养模式改革适应未来社会的国际化发展趋势及其教育需求。英语教育专业建设需要进一步明晰英语教育的概念与人才培养目标,克服英语与教育"两张皮"现象,化相克为相生,促进英语教育专业的学科交叉融合,并最终形成特色化的办学方向。

With the vigorous development of the English language education in China, the setting of English education as an tmdregraduate major has become an urgent need of the development of international society and the English education reform in China. The construction of English education as an undergraduate program aims at enhancing the level and quality of English teachers. Its final purpose is to adapt the training mode of ＂English plus Education＂ to the trend of internationalization and the increasing demand for compound talents. The construction of English education as an undergraduate program requires further specification of the concept of English education and the target of talent training, overcoming of the ＂mismatch＂ between English and education, and conversion of mutual exclusion into mutual promotion. In so doing, it is expected that a unique orientation of major construction will evolve from the cross-discipline fusion.
