At present, the essential characteristic of Wenzhou model is still the same as before ： It mainly relies on the investment of capital and labor force to spur the economic growth. The present choices for the sustainable development of regional economy in Wenzhou are as follows ： first, to strengthen the cooperation among industries, universities and research institutes, second, to make a combination between patent and standard, third, to combine the industrial clusters and intellectual property development and to combine the brand establishment and technology promoting and advanced production patterns together.
