A Research on the Structural Reform and Operational Mechanism of NSF/ENG

工程学部是美国国家科学基金会中致力于工程教育、研究与创新的部门,在资助和管理方面对工程科技人才培养和工程前沿研究起重要作用。本研究在介绍该机构成立背景、使命与职能的基础上,着重探讨其机构改革重组后的结构特征和运行机制的卓越之处,以期对我国工程教育管理机构改革有一定的借鉴作用。

Directorate for Engineering （ENG） is the only directorate which devotes to engineering education, research and innovation in NSF. ENG plays a key role in the investment and management of the development of engineering personnel and the research of emerging engineering science in the U.S. On the basis of the introduction of the mission and function, the advantages of reorganization and operational mechanism of ENG have been discussed, which are beneficial to the reform of engineering education in China nowadays.
