摘要
一.综述
1999年,在北京大学艺术学系工作的我从美国波士顿大学公共关系与传播学院考察归来后转到北京大学信息管理系工作。访美期间最大的收获是看到了视觉传播活动在美国各个领域中的作用,作为一个崇尚实用主义的国家,视觉传播的作用体现在他们国家的政治、军事、经济、宗教、文化和教育等几乎所有方面,并且应用得卓有成效。
Visual Communications is a major that intersects with many other majors,the visualization of information and its communication is a new topic for Visual management courses and the so called 'Eyeball Economy'.Usually some people tend to mix visual communication with visual communicational design(Graphic Design).Visual communication is definitely not a new word,but it seems that the modern society is giving it a new set of meanings along with a new future.
