摘要
从作者作为大学英语一线教师的教学实践和感悟出发,本文分析了当前中国大学英语教学中存在的几个突出问题,概括为教材问题、对现代教育技术的过度依赖以及英语的工具性功能凸显不够等。在此基础上,文章结合外语教学的一些重要理论提出一些具体对策,如正确理解教与学的关系、编写以学科内容为依托的大学英语教材、倡导课外协作学习以及增强学生自主性等,以期对大学英语教学改革起到一定的推动作用。
Based on the experiences in teaching,the present author analyzes some major problems confronted by Chinese college English teaching: textbook problems,over-dependence on the modern teaching technology,and the failure to highlight the instrumental function of English as a foreign language.Some strategies are then proposed on the basis of integrating some important theories in foreign language teaching.They include clarifying the relationship between teaching and learning,compiling subject-based textbooks,encouraging extra curriculum collaborative learning,and enhancing student autonomy in learning in order to facilitate the reform of college English teaching.
