The Functions of Medical Social Worker in Hospital

为了解医务社会工作者在医院中的功能,以进一步探讨医务社会工作在医院中的介入空间,并为医务社会工作专业学生的培养提供借鉴,采用定量研究的方法,通过对北京某医院医护人员的问卷调查,发现医务社工者需要具备多项素质,在现有的模式和制度下,医务社会工作者扮演的是医护人员助手的角色,其所发挥的功能主要是提供导医服务、安抚病人情绪并协调资源以及促使病人配合医生治疗;适当的介入时机是在病人有入院适应困难以及医患沟通不畅时,最好的介入方式是通过在不同科室配备社会工作者,医务社会工作者在医院里的介入空间包括门诊、住院过程中以及出院后。

In order to know about the functions and explore the intervention space of medical social worker in hospital,we adopt a quantitative method to investigate the medical workers in a Beijing hospital.We find that medical social worker is an assistant of medicals.Their functions are to provide medical guiding service,deal with patients＇ feeling,integrate resource and help patient to cooperate with doctors.The appropriate intervention space is when the patients are in hospital with the problem of adaptation and have trouble in communication with doctors in the section for outpatients,in hospital and post-discharge.
