摘要
MIPv6是由IETF标准化的全局移动性管理协议,它要求MN参与移动性管理,在MN频繁切换时会带来很大的信令开销。PMIPv6基于网络的特性使其避免了开销过大的问题,但它仅适用于本地移动性管理。为此,提出一种基于网络的全局移动性管理方法。该方法采用了级联隧道,避免了隧道嵌套的开销,同时完全基于网络的特点使其避免了无线链路上的隧道开销。仿真研究表明,相对于其他移动性管理协议,该机制在信令开销和数据传输开销方面都更有优势。
MIPv6 is a mobility management protocol standardized by the IETF, which supports global mobility of mobile terminals. However, it requires participation of the MN, which induces high mobility signaling overhead when the MN fre- quently hands over between subnets. PMIPv6 is proposed to reduce the signaling overhead by using network-based mobility management. However, it only supports localized mobility management. A network-based global mobility management scheme is introduced. It embodies all the advantages of MIPv6 and PMIPv6, which introduces cascaded tunnel instead of nes- ted tunnel and avoids the tunnel on wireless. Simulation results show that the method has advantages in both signaling and packet transmission compared with other mobility management schemes.
