In this special issue,23 papers are selected from over a hundred of domestic and foreign contributions to the 4th National Conference on Mass Transfer and Separation Engineering (NCMS2011), which will be held on 18th -21 st of November 2011 in Tianjin.
In this special issue, 23 papers are selected from over a hundred of domestic and foreign contributions to the 4th National Conference on Mass Transfer and Separation Engineering （NCMS2011）, which will be held on 18th -21 st of November 2011 in Tianjin. This series of conference was initiated in 1981 in Tianjin upon the suggestion by Professor K. T. Yu and received nationwide response. Although the conference had been held only three times in the past thirty years, it has been recognized as a core meeting for the information exchange of various fields of mass transfer separation science and engineering worldwide and receive more participants.
