半岛艺术中心主任任国雄先生是我的邻居。一天他告诉我,说他有位山东专事＂红色收藏＂的朋友,很意外地收藏到一幅超大尺寸的绒绣,是1978年＂全国工艺美术展览会＂中的重点展品——＂八亿人民的心愿＂。那位收藏家了解到,这幅绒绣出自上海工艺美术研究所,画稿创作设计者是夏葆元,合作者严国基和张子虎。于是请任先生帮助寻找作品的当事人，想探究当时这幅绒绣问世的经过及背后的故事。

Wang Guangsheng specializes in＂Revolutionary Collection＂in Shandong.Unexpectedly,he collects an oversized woolen needlepoint tapestry entitled 800 Million People＇s Desire, a major exhibit in＂National Arts and Crafts Exhibition＂of 1978.This artwork was created by Shanghai Arts and Crafts Research Institute,with Xia Baoyuan as creative drawing designer;Van Guoji and Zhang Zihu as partners. So Wang Guangsheng looks for all parlies concerned to probe into the creation course at that time and the story behind this woolen needlepoint tapestry.
